Baaghi 3 trailer out: Tiger Shroff is the answer to the Syrian civil war

What happens when you airdrop Tiger Shroff into the Syrian civil war? A lot, actually.

The trailer of Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 3 is out. It finds eponymous rebel Ronnie (Tiger) laying waste to ISIS and its cohorts in the crumbing ruins of Syria. There are tanks and choppers closing in — and a crazed chieftain swears to bring down the lone infiltrator.

Well, as always, Ronnie fights back.

The basic plot is siphoned from the Tamil hit Vettai. Riteish Deshmukh, his height restored from Marjaavaan, plays Ronnie’s timid brother — a character fashioned after Madhavan’s turn in Vettai. Ronnie, of course, is his rogue sibling, picking up fights for his mousy bro and leveling goons with his mighty forearms. There’s also Shraddha Kapoor in the mix, returning to the franchise after 2016’s Baaghi (Disha Patani played the female lead in the second installment).

Anyway, so Ritiesh gets kidnapped by ISIS-types and Ronnie, bored of local fisticuffs, swears vengeance against an ‘entire country’. This allows director Ahmed Khan to scale up to the hilt — throwing in tanks, choppers and tandem rotors, all maxed out to three (from the measly one of previous entries.)

To top it all, there’s Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in the fray — token Good Actors™ flown in for good measure, just like Manoj Bajpayee and Deepak Dobriyal in Baaghi 2 and Sunil Grover in Baaghi. Only Grandmaster Shifuji — the moustached mascot of past installments — has gone AWOL. Those pointy handlebars shall be missed.

Baaghi 3 releases on March 6, 2020.
