Jeevitha Rajasekhar, the outgoing general secretary of Movie Artist Association (MAA), has found fault with president VK Naresh for launching a vicious campaign that she is responsible for the discrepancies in the association.

Speaking at a press meet on Monday, Jeevitha stated that the propaganda was aimed at tarnishing her reputation both as an individual and as the general secretary of MAA. "Mistakes are human and we rectified the mistakes. We served MAA sincerely. An individual has the right to align with a panel of his/her choice. I have explained it to Mohan Babu garu. Bandla Ganesh has targeted me and I have responded to his comments. Prudhvi has lodged a complaint against me with the executive committee. His allegations are ridiculous," she said.

Further, she continues, "A few members were trying to stoke hatred by targeting me. Is it wrong to do good? In the past, we extended our support to Naresh garu and we took on people who criticized him. We have confined this to the election alone, but their actions speak otherwise as they have started targeting us personally. I am being hunted for raising my voice against the issues in MAA," said Jeevitha.

Denying that she was not part of a smear campaign against Naresh, Jeevitha said, "I never undermined the efforts of Naresh. Neither did I criticised his contribution nor questioned his efforts. We have offered financial help to the needy and we were elected to do that. I don't understand why people still target me?"

Responding to the local vs non-local debate, Jeevitha said, "A few people are calling Prakash Raj a non-local. Producer Sunil Narang is serving as the president of Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce, while his father Narayandas Narang is the president of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Are they Telugus?"
