It was widely reported that filmmaker-actor Mysskin and producer-turned-actor RK Suresh were part of To Let-director Chezhiyan's next. Said to be a police thriller, there were reports that the film would go on floors this June. However, putting an end to these rumours, Chezhiyan says, "This is fake news. This has been a project that was rumoured since 2015. It was false then, as now."

The Joker cinematographer adds that it was a rumour that began when he was working on director Bala's Tharai Thappattai. "That film marked the debut of Suresh, and around the same time, Mysskin was doing Pisaasu for Bala's B Studios. We used to meet very frequently, and this is where the speculations started that this would be my directorial debut."

Though this cop film might have fallen through, Suresh, who was recently seen in Billa Pandi, is set to make his Malayalam debut with the police film, Cochin Shadhi at Chennai 03, which is also being shot in Tamil.

Mysskin, who was recently part of the cast of Super Deluxe, will next be seen in Suttu Pudikka Utharavu. On the directorial front, he has Psycho, starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Thupparivalan 2 with Vishal.
