Rishab Shetty's Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge has won the prestigious National Award for Best Children's Film and the director is proud at winning it.

"That my work is nationally recognized is a proud feeling for me. I consider winnning a National award a bigger achievement than the Oscars because the recognition is coming from our country. I want to dedicate this film to all the children studying in government schools, especially in Kannada medium. I also think that this will give a great filip to all students like me, who studied in a Kannada medium school, that they can direct a film in their mother tongue and still win a National Award. To be fair, I didn't have any expectations when I made this film. Neither did I think it would win an award nor did I expect a commercial success. That Sa. Hi. Pra. Shaale Kasaragodu won both an award and was a commercial success is overwhelming."
