David F Sandberg: Christophe Beck's music makes Shazam! Fury of the Gods sonically beautiful

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is all set to hit the theatres soon. Produced by Warner Bros Pictures, the film is directed by David F Sandberg. The director said that he gave a free hand to music director Christophe Beck to create the score and that there was no ironclad rule to follow the film's first part.

The first part had music by Benjamin Wallfisch. However, as he was busy working on the score of Flash, he was replaced by Christophe Beck for the second part.

According to IANS, David said, "I worked with Benjamin Wallfisch in Shazam! but this time it didn't work out because he was busy working on Flash and both these films were being executed in parallel so I had to find someone else. I found the music director in Chris Beck."

He further added that he gave a free hand to Beck to explore the sound textures and create the music as he has done a lot of Marvel stuff. "I didn't bind him to follow the elements of the first part. He explored new sounds and that's what makes Shazam! Fury of the God' beautiful, sonically,"  he added.
