Tom Burke to replace Yahya Abdul Mateen in Furiosa

Tom Burke is set to replace Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in George Miller's upcoming Mad Max prequel, Furiosa. Abdul-Mateen exited the project due to scheduling conflicts. 

Furiosa stars Anya Taylor-Joy, who steps into the role played by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road. Also starring Chris Hemsworth, Furiosa is directed, and co-written by Miller, who is also co-producing the film with Doug Mitchell.

Furiosa is expected to be released by Warner Bros on May 21, 2024. 

Burke, who is known for starring in films like Mank and The Souvenir, is next starring in Florence Pugh's The Wonder.
