Written and directed by Darren Aronofsky, mother! is an upcoming psychological horror film. Scheduled to be released on September 15, 2017, the film has been selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 74^th Venice International Film Festival.

Produced by Paramount Pictures, it stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, and Michelle Pfeiffer. The film is about how the relationship between a couple is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home and disrupt their peaceful existence.
