Bryan Singer in talks to direct film adaptation of Red Sonja

Millenium's Red Sonja, the comic book from the 1970s, is being adapted for the big screen and the makers are in talks with X-Men director Bryan Singer to helm the project. The decision to rope in Singer has come under fire as the director faced rape allegations last year. He was also fired by Fox for unprofessional behaviour while filming Bohemian Rhapsody.

While Millenium is planning to build a franchise around Red Sonja, the adaptation has been stuck in developmental hell for over a decade with names like Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan earlier involved with the film.

Red Sonja will be produced by Millenium's Avi Lerner and Joe Gatta alongside Cinelou's Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon.
