Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar admitted to hospital for recurring pneumonia 

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on Sunday night and is being treated for recurrent pneumonia. Sharing the news, Kumar's family friend Faisal Farooqui wrote on Twitter, 

Last month, Dilip Kumar was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital for treatement of mild pneumonia. Farooqui had tweeted then that Kumar was suffering from chest infection.

Kumar's health has been on the edge since April, 2017 — he was hospitalised multiple times over the last one year due to kindney issues, pneumonia symtoms and also swelling in his right leg.

Dilip Kumar, one of India's most iconic actors, has appeared in some classics like Mughal-e-Azam, Shakti and Naya Daur. Married to fellow actor Saira Banu, his last appearance on screen was in the 1998 film Qila.
