Krish to direct NTR biopic

After director Teja opted out of the NTR biopic, actor Balakrishna had decided to take over the project and had signed on director Chandra Siddhartha to assist him in direction. However, following the less-than-encouraging response from his fans, and the remarkable success of Savitri’s biopic Mahanati, Balakrishna has realised the significance of getting a famed director to helm the film which chronicles the times and life of his late father, actor NTR.

It is learnt that he has convinced director Krish to don the director’s hat and an announcement about this will follow on May 28, coinciding with the birth anniversary of NTR. In all probability, NTR will go on floors right after Krish wraps up his epic biopic Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

Also featuring Vidya Balan and Rana Daggubati, NTR is being bankrolled by Sai Korrapati, Vishnu Induri and Balakrishna, and has music by MM Keeravani.
