Indian 2 shooting to kickstart at Hyderabad 

According to a source, the shooting of Indian 2, starring Kamal Hassan will commence at Ramoji Rao film city in Hyderabad soon. It has been reported that huge sets are currently being constructed there for the film and the pre-production work is progressing in full swing. Earlier, it was rumoured that director Shankar had shelved the project due to the delay in the post-production work of his sci-fi fantasy film 2.0 with Rajinikanth. 

The filmmaker made the announcement about the Indian sequel while attending the finale of the reality program, Big Boss Tamil. The announcement created quite a buzz among fans as the original film, which was released over two decades ago, was a huge commercial success and went on to bag three National Awards. Indian 2 was officially launched by flying a helium gas balloon in Taiwan on Republic day. 

The sequel might be Kamal Hassan's last film, as he had recently stated that he would quit films after venturing into politics full-time. Though it has been heavily speculated that Anirudh will compose the music and Nayanthara will play the female lead, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the cast and crew of the project.
