Anupama Parameswaran to make Kannada debut with Natasarvabhouma?

The shooting of Puneeth Rajkumar’s film, Natasarvabhouma, directed by Pavan Wadeyar is currently underway. Made under Rockline Productions, the makers had initially announced that the film will have two-heroines. While one role is played by Rachita Ram, the makers had kept the audience guessing about the other female lead.

Though the team has tried to keep it under wraps, Cinema Express has learnt that Anupama Parameswaran has been approached for the role opposite Puneeth, and the makers will confirm this soon. Now, it is just a matter of the formal agreement between the production house and the actor being signed, before the official announcement is made. If everything goes per plan, she will make her Kannada debut with Natasarvabhouma.

The hunt had been on for quite sometime now, as the team was looking for an actor who would shine with her performance. The makers only decided on Anupama after they were convinced she would fit the bill.

The heroine, who became an instant hit in Malayalam cinema with Premam, has also been a popular face in the Telugu industry. Having been part of the Premam remake in Telugu, she has worked in films such as Dharma Yogi, Sathamanam Bhavati, Jomonte Suvisheshangal, Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi and the recent Krishnarjuna Yudham with Nani. Anupama has also worked with Dhanush in Kodi in Tamil.

Natasarvabhouma has Saroja Devi making a special appearance. The cast also includes Ravi Shankar, Chikkanna and Prabhakar of Baahubali fame. The film has music by D Imman and cinematography by Vaidhi. With fifty per cent of shooting completed, the film’s important portions, featuring the lead actors, will be shot next in Kolkata.
