Director Mohan Kupleri's Chandragiri, whose release was stalled recently after a footage leak, will finally hit the screens on August 3. The socially relevant film stars Lal, Joy Matthew, Sajitha Madathil, Kochu Preman, Hareesh Peradi and Sunil Sugatha in important roles.
Shaun Romy of Kammatipadam fame is the film's female lead; she plays Lal's daughter. Pulimurugan cinematographer Shaji Kumar handles the camera of this film, which is about the bond between a school headmaster played by Lal and his daughter, and his lifelong feud with a corrupt local businessman played by Hareesh Peradi.
Apart from Chandragiri, Lal also has Iblis coming out on the same day. Directed by Adventures of Omanakuttan-fame Rohith VS, Iblis stars Asif Ali and Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles.
