Sulile Kumar is Kavalu Daari’s villain

Though Sulile Kumar has roots in Karnataka, he is a well known name in Kollywood. The actor, who started his acting career with Tarun Gopi’s Kaalai established himself as an antagonist in various Tamil films.

Sulile has now been roped in for Hemanth M Rao’s Kavalu Daari. The film made under PRK Productions will see Rishi and Anant Nag in the lead and will feature Sulile as the villain. This is the actor’s second Kannada film after Marikondavaru. Sulile says he picked up this role for its unique story. “Moreover, I greatly enjoyed Hemanth’s debut, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu and it is one of the best films of recent times. I am inspired by his work. He knew where I'd fit in and I am sure he will mould me according to the character,” he says.

Sulile’s who has done more than 18 films in Tamil says, sadly, he is not getting the same kind of opportunities in Kannada. “I have not set any rules with my roles. I have played leads, second leads, and even an anti-hero in the Tamil industry. In fact, I played a hero in my first Kananda film, Marikondavaru, which was a biopic. Hopefully, my association with Hemanth’s Kavalu Daari will fetch me more exciting projects in Kannada,” he adds.

The film will go on the floors from the first week of October and will also feature Roshini Prakash along with Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles. Kavalu Daari has music by Charan Raj, Advaitha Gurumurthy’s cinematography.
