Sandakozhi 2 officially launched

Vishal, whose latest outing Thupparivaalan is doing well at the box-office, began work on his next, Sandakozhi 2. In a statement, the makers announced that the project kicked off. According to sources, the team will wrap up the filming in two months. "A huge set has already been erected in the outskirts of the city, where the majority of the shooting will take place," they added.

This sequel reunites Vishal with Lingusamy a decade after the release of Sandakozhi. While Keerthy Suresh plays the leading lady, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be seen as an antagonist. Sandakozhi 2 also has Raj Kiran, who played an important role in the first film. Yuvan Shankar Raja has also been retained to compose the music.
