Resul Pookutty to make his acting debut

Oscar Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, who is working on 2.0 and Sangamithra, will be debuting as an actor with a Tamil film. Oru Kadhai Sollattumaa is also being made in Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi as The Sound Story. The director, Prasad Prabhakar, recently confirmed that Resul will be playing himself, as he captures the sounds of the Pooram festival held in Thrissur, Kerala.

The team has reportedly used close to two dozen cameras to capture the festival live which usually sees around 1,00,000 people in attendance. The songs are to be composed by Rahul Raj and lyrics will be penned by Vairamuthu.

Sources also state that the film will capture the essence of the festival in such a way so as to ensure a fulfilling experience for the visually impaired.
