Ganesh, who has recently completed shooting a song sequence for his upcoming film, Chamak, is about to start filming his next--Orange with Prashanth. While shuffling between projects, the actor meanwhile, seems to have discovered a passion for another art form.

Over the last 10 months, Ganesh has been spending three hours every morning learning Muay Thai martial art, which is popular in Thailand. Following such dedicated efforts, the Xtreme Muay Thai Academy has made him the brand ambassador of Muay Sports in India today.

"I learnt the art, but being a brand ambassador just happened. I am glad to be part of the sport," says Ganesh, adding, "The Muay Federation was looking for a brand ambassador and when they got to know about my passion towards the art form, they decided to consider me."

His coach Hemanth,  an international fighter, who has participated in 64 matches taught him this art. "My morning begins at 4.30 am and I practise the skills for almost three hours every day," he says.

This martial art has references to Indian mythology, too, the actor says. "It has references to Rama, Hanuman and Garuda and that attracted me to it," he says.

Interestingly, the Muay Academy is arranging an intercontinental match in India, and the first match will take place in Bengaluru. About 18 to 25 boxers will be participating in the competition. Ganesh will be getting in the ring to demonstrate his skills at the intercontinental event on January 18, 2018. "I want to be a real fighter and demonstrate my skills of Muay Boran, which is the toughest," he says.

The actor is now thinking of showcasing this art on the reel screen sometime in future. "I would definitely want to, but let's see how it turns out. As of now, I have documented my workouts and the injuries I went through doing this course. I will also be coming out with a motivational video. I will be happy to get into the ring with Muay Thai for a film," he signs off.
