Vijay-Prabhudheva film to have 12 songs!

Director Vijay has retained CS Sam of Vikram Vedha-fame as the music director for his next with Prabhudheva. The filmmaker and composer also worked together on Sai Pallavi-starrer Karu, whose trailer was released recently to good reception. Sam says that this untitled project, which also stars Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, will have as many as 12 songs.

“The film will be along the lines of the popular dance film, Step Up. Not every song in our film will be around four minutes though. It’s going to be a full-fledged emotional drama that’s about dance competitions,” he tells us.

Apparently, most of the shooting is already complete as Vijay was working on this film alongside Karu. The composer says, “It’s challenging to compose for such projects. Everything has to be in sync. Prabhudheva is a fantastic dancer, and this project is doubly special as I was given complete creative freedom.”
