Johnny will have a new heroine
After backing out of another Duniya Vijay-starrer Kanaka, Rachita Ram has stepped out of this one too
Rachita backs out of Vijay’s films
Looks like Rachita Ram will not be paired opposite Duniya Vijay anytime soon, because she has backed out from two films - Johnny Johnny Yes Papa and Kanaka - which she had earlier signed up for.
Rachita had first pulled out of director R Chandru’s Kanaka because director Preetham Gubbi wanted to introduce a new pair -- Rachita and Vijay -- in his Johnny Johnny Yes Papa. Now we have come to know that Rachita has stepped out of Johnny Johnny as well. We hear that the actress has previous commitments and date clash with these two films.
Our source says, "Preetham will be finalising the script sometime next week and the movie will go on floors only by August end, and only after Vijay has completed his shoot of Chandru’s film He still has around 35 days left in Kanaka’s schedule. Rachita is not in a position to accommodate dates required around that time. The filmmakers have discussed this and have decided to let go."
Will Shraddha get into Ramya’s shoes?
Johhny Johhny Yes Papa’s team had been scouting for a heroine and now have apparently approached Shraddha Srinath for the role. She has expressed her interest in it too, and now only the remuneration has to be decided. If both parties okay with the terms, in all likelihood, the sequel to Johhny Mera Naam will have Shraddha playing the role Ramya had in the first edition.
Our source says that Shraddha wants to be a part of this romcom because it will be a new genre to for her to try. Secondly, she liked Preetham Gubbi’s approach towards the story.
And as Preetham Gubbi had wished, Vijay and Shraddha will be a fresh pair on screen. We now wait for Shraddha to sign on the dotted line and for the team to make an official announcement.
Johnny Johnny Yes Papa is being made under Duniya Talkies, owned by the actor. The star cast will include Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila. Music will be by V Hari krishna.
Meanwhile Shraddha is looking forward to the release of her Tamil film, Ivan Thanthiran.
