Dulquer’s next is a Tamil travel film

Malayalam actor, Dulquer Salmaan, whose last release in Tamil was OK Kanmani, has signed his next in Kollywood which be directed by a newbie, Ra Karthik. This untitled film will have four renowned heroines, the filmmaker tells City Express. "This is a travel-based subject like Jab We Met. We’ll start shooting from December once Dulquer completes his existing commitments. But this won’t be a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual,” says Karthik, who used to work for an ad agency.

The director, who also wrote the script, had first narrated it to cinematographer George C Thomas (of Kaththi and Theri fame), who then he put him on to Dulquer. "Travel-based scripts are quite rare in Kollywood. This will be the first travelogue film in the industry. It’s a feel-good project, and Dulquer will be seen in more than one look,” he says. Aside from George on camera, the technical team also includes editor Sreekar Prasad.

We hear the second half of this film is set in North India. Unconfirmed sources also say Nivetha Pethuraj and Megha Akash have been approached to play the leading ladies. However, official confirmation is awaited. The film will be bankrolled by Kenanya Films. Dulquer currently has Mahanati and Solo in his kitty.
