Rangasthalam on track for Pongal

The team of Ram Charan’s upcoming revenge drama Rangasthalam 1985 shot down reports that the film’s release date had been rescheduled. Speculations were rife that Rangasthalam, directed by Sukumar has made way for Pawan Kalyan’s untitled film for Pongal and that the makers had decided to advance the release by a few weeks.

When CE contacted Rangasthalam team, they denied the reports and confirmed that the film is on track for Pongal. “Rangasthalam will release as announced (for Pongal). There is no question of rescheduling the release date. Even before our film’s date was announced, the team had a word with the makers of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer and planned everything accordingly. The shooting is going at a brisk pace and the team is intent on meeting the target date,” says a source.

Mounted on a lavish scale, Rangasthalam 1985 marks the first collaboration of Ram Charan and Sukumar. The team recently wrapped up a schedule in Godavari belt and has headed back to Hyderabad to begin a 35-day schedule in a special village set. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is paired opposite Charan in the film produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
