No action training for Lakshmi Priyaa

The last time we spoke to Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, she confirmed that she was playing a cop in Sarathkumar’s Rendaavadhu Aattam. Recently, there have been rumours suggesting that the actress was undergoing training for the action sequences in the film.

Talking to CE, Lakshmi says, "The news is completely wrong. I don't know where it began. I haven't been taking any special training for the role like that." The actress, who has just returned from a month-long method acting course in New York, says a few sections of the media have mixed up the news. "They confused the acting classes that I underwent with the regular preparation for my role. Some went so far as to say that I am also taking Mixed Martial Arts lessons, without even speaking to me to clarify the news."

When quizzed if there'll be action sequences in the film, she says, "There will be action sequences, but I don't know the details of it yet as we're only starting the shoot from next month. As it's a cop role, I'm meeting a couple of people in the police force to get the language and mannerisms right, so that the role looks convincing."

Directed by Prithivi Adithya, the film is bankrolled by Big Print Pictures with KS Sundaramurthy of 8 Thottakkal fame as the music director.
