Khushbu mounted a passionate defence for her husband, Sundar C’s Sangamithra with a series of tweets. Without really naming who she was taking on, she tweeted

A film like #Sangamitra which will be one of the costliest films ever made in India,cannot be made without proper planning.. cont.,

She went on to add

Shruti Haasan had earlier walked out of the project citing the lack of a bound script, and some lack of clarity about the shooting dates.

Khushbu has since announced that she would be taking a break from Twitter with tweets urging people to use the platform to spread love.
