Tom Hardy’s Venom design revealed

Artist Mikkel Frandsen has revealed the photos of a sculpture he did of Venom via his company Creature Monster’s Instagram profile. This is the first time fans have got a glimpse of Tom Hardy’s titular symbiote in Venom, which is directed by Ruben Fleischer.

After Tom Holland’s Spider-Man debuted last year in Captain America: Civil War, and later received his first solo film in Spider-Man Homecoming, the character has been granted a sequel. But Sony, keen on also putting its other Marvel characters to good use, has given the thumbs up for Venom followed by Silver and Black, directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, and a Morbius the Living Vampire film which is in development. Venom will be the first of these to hit the theaters.

While the sculpture is eerily similar to the comic book version of the character, it’s unclear if the symbiote will be entirely digitally created or if only his neck and head will be built with CGI as the sculpture hints.
