Vishal's initial plan for Irumbu Thirai

Debutant director PS Mithran, whose Irumbu Thirai starring Vishal, Samantha and Arjun in lead roles has been announced for a Republic Day release has now revealed some interesting details about the film.

He recently stated that Vishal was interested in portraying the role of the antagonist rather than that of the hero. However, Mithran eventually convinced the actor into taking up the role of the protagonist and he will be seen playing an army man in the film. The Vishal Film Factory production has Arjun playing the villain, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Irumbu Thirai, which deals about the impact of social media in this modern age is also being dubbed in Telugu as Abhimanyudu.
