Achyut Shankar, a plus-two student, wants to be a cricketer, but his father has already chalked out a career in medicine for him. While fighting parental pressure, the young boy gets involved in an incident which forces him to run off. Sajin Lal's Thank You Very Much follows the teenager as he travels through a string of locations to finally reach Delhi.

“Adolescence is a very difficult time and very often the complex emotional state forces children to flee from their families. This film is built on such a premise," says the director.

While Arun Siddharth appears in the role of Achyut, Mukundan and Lena step into the roles of his parents. "Mukundan plays a jail superintendent and he is a very strict dad. But Lena, who plays a key role in the film, is a doting mother," he says.

A major portion of film is shot in Delhi as Babu Namboothiri, who plays Shankaran Nair lands there in search of his grandson. The film also stars a spate of fresh faces that includes former Thiruvananthapuram collector Biju Prabhakar and Abdul Wahab M P.

Another highlight of the film is that the Prime Minister is part of the narrative. "How he is connected to the storyline is part of the climax. The only thing I can reveal now is that it happens in Delhi," says the director.

The film, produced under the banner of Chalklate Films, is expected to hit screens on August 25.
