The Villain’s satellite rights sold for 7.3 crores

Prem’s upcoming directorial, which is still being shot, has already raked in good business. Trade has high expectations from this Kannada film starring Shivarajkumar, Sudeep and Amy Jackson. The film has already fetched good money from the sale of its satellite rights. Prem, who could not hold back his excitement, announced the news through his Twitter handle.

Though he doesn’t mention the amount, according to industry sources, the rights of the film were bought for a whooping Rs 7.3 crore, which is definitely on par with other south Indian films. The film has already fetched Rs 5.4 crore for Hindi rights.

Meanwhile, director Prem who is back from London is currently in Mumbai hunting for a location to set the first song shoot with Sudeep. The film, produced by CR Manohar, also features senior actor Mithun Chakraborty, Telugu actor Srikanth and Sruthi Hariharan among others.

The Villain has music by Arjun Janya and cinematography by Gire.
