Si-3 to be remade in Hindi

The third part of the Singam franchise, starring Suriya, is set to be remade in Hindi, with Sunny Deol in the lead. The film will mark the Bollywood directorial debut of Ravi K Chandran, who has worked as a cinematographer on projects like Ghajini, My Name Is Khan and OK Jaanu. He also directed Jiiva in Yaan, which bombed at the box office.

Thakur Anoop Singh, who was seen as a baddie in Si-3, has been retained for the same role in Hindi. He tells us, "This film will go on floors around the end of December. Sunny sir is directing his son in another film now, and once he's done with that, he'll start this project." The actor adds, "I heard he has changed the script to suit the sensibilities of the Hindi audience. I am excited and looking forward to working with him. Sunny was impressed with the original and immediately agreed to come on-board for the Hindi remake."

Anoop, who has been shooting for his Telugu film opposite Manchu Vishnu, got an overwhelming response from the audience for his role in Si-3. "Also, I am making my debut as a hero in the Tamil-Telugu-Kannada film Utkarsha in which I am acting alongside Sai Dhanshika. Kabir Duhan Singh is the villain. After completing all these, I'll start shooting for the Si-3 Hindi remake," he says.

Anoop is keen to do more films in Tamil. "I like how they treat actors here. In fact, I am in talks with a big banner. I'll be making an official announcement regarding this soon."
