Joju George as romantic hero in Ottakkoru Kamukan

Joju George is on a roll. The ever reliable actor is one of the go-to guys for playing properly etched out characters. After delivering a memorable performance in Njan Marykutty, he'll be next seen in Ottakkoru Kamukan in a softer, romantic character in the film.

"It's an interesting story", says Joju. "It's about the love stories of three different characters and their lovers. All the men play are playing romantic heroes. In addition, there is another love story, of another couple, that is interlinked with these three stories. It has a unique narrative. It's a fun entertainer."
Abhirami, who made her comeback to Malayalam cinema after a long gap in 2014's Apothecary, is paired opposite Joju. Shine Tom Chacko, Shalu and Lijomol comprise the supporting cast.

Shine is paired opposite a newcomer and Shalu is paired opposite Lijomol. Ajin Lal and Jayan Vannery are directing the film which has a strong musical presence. Prince Glariyans, Sajan Yasodharan and Anoop Chandran are producing. A release is planned for the first week of September. 

Joju has also signed M Padmakumar's next titled Joseph, in which he will be essaying the role of a middle-aged police officer. The film is expected to be a strong, character-driven film. The release will be most probably in October. The actor says the shooting is currently in progress and has some more portions left. 
Joju is currently filming Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's latest, Chola, which also stars Nimisha Sajayan. Chola is expected to be a gritty and raw tale in the vein of Sanal's earlier films. He will be also seen in Vinayan's Chalakudikkaran Changhathi, which is based on the life of late actor Kalabhavan Mani.
