I am at a loss for words to explain my excitement: Aishwarya Arjun

Tomorrow is a special day for Aishwarya Arjun. Sollividava (Prema Baraha in Kannada), made by her father Arjun Sarja for her, is getting released.

She says, “I cannot express how I feel at this moment. There’s no fear or anxiety, but I am not able to find the words to express my excitement.”

The Kannada and Tamil bilingual, was made under their home banner, on a huge budget. “It is a little scary when we think about it,” she says, adding, “But we are confident that we have a good product in hand and have a sense of satisfaction about it too. It is also my Kannada debut, and so, the excitement is doubled.”

Aishwarya says she feels emotionally attached to this film as well, as it is a gift from her father. “I grew up watching his films and now I get to act under his direction; so it is very special. This is two years of our hardwork, and soon it will be out for everyone to watch,” she says.

The actor says that Sollividava will be a different love story. “I don’t think too many films like this have been made in our industry. The only film we could draw parallels to was a classic. Like my father rightly says, ‘It is a fiction, against a non-fictional backdrop.’ Every element has been beautifully woven in. The first half has light-hearted comedy and each scene in the second half will be moving. It will be very difficult for a moviegoer to keep their tears in check,” she adds.

The film has music by Jessie Gift and cinematography by Venu C.

“I was picked for the role by Arjun sir, after auditions. Right from that moment, he ensured I was given stunt training and dance practice, and familiarised with the sets. In fact, he also enrolled me into a Tamil-speaking class. It is very rare for an actor to be given training from scratch to make sure that he slips into the character before going to the sets. All this was possible only because of Arjun sir. This is a love story with a thread of patriotism woven in. I believe I’ve given my best to the character, especially in the dance and stunt sequences. I say this after analysing my performance against my last six films.”
