If talent takes you to different movie industries, then Samyuktha Hegde is headed in the right direction. The actress, who is making her Tamil debut with none than Prabhu Deva, will also be stepping into the Telugu industry.

CE had reported that Samyuktha would be part of the Telugu remake of Kirik Party and she now confirms this, saying that she has given her nod for it. The Telugu remake, starring Nikhil Siddharta, will be directed by choreographer-turned-director Raju Sundaram.

Samyuktha is all geared up to play Aarya, in the Telugu remake too, and says that to an artiste language does not matter and it should not even come up for discussion. “It is art, and that is all that matters,” she says of the movie’s remake. “Kirik Party was my first film, and therefore, is close to my heart. I am deeply attached to it. So now I get to be part of it again and I can relive my beautiful memories.” Samyuktha will be joining the sets from September 10.

She is equally thrilled to be part of Prabhu Deva’s next project, in Tamil which we hear will be made under his banner. Earlier, the actress had to give a miss to a project with the dancer-actor-director. But, the filmmakers who took note of her talent in dancing approached her again. “Sometimes we have to think of the actor we are appearing with,” she says. “As a dancer, I am happy to be working with Prabhu Deva. It is a big deal and it is a dream come true. As of now, I only know that I am part of the film and that I will be joining the sets from October 10.”

Actress is quick to credit the Kannada industry for all her success, even in other industries. “Of late the Kannada industry has come up with really good films, and has raised the bar for itself and others,” she says.

The actress says that the responsibility of choosing the right projects falls on each artiste and thanks the Kannada industry for giving her good movies to work in. “The industry standards are really high and this has given us recognition even outside too,” she says.

Samyuktha is looking forward to the release of her second Kannada film Kaalej Kumar. The film directed by Santhosh is now in post production.
