Truth behind Nithiin’s lie

It needs no introduction that actor Nithiin admires powerstar Pawan Kalyan and almost all his films have some references of the Gabbar Singh actor. And once again, Nithiin pulled off a Pawan in his upcoming actioner Lie.

“The song Bombat from Lie was inspired by Vayyari Bhama from Pawan Kalyan’s Thammudu. I always have high regards for Pawan Kalyan and I treat him as my God. I never hesitate drawing an inspiration from him as I grew up on his films. Initially, many people said that I’m cashing in on his popularity but it’s my way of showing love towards my inspiration,” says a candid Nithiin.

Releasing on August 11, Lie revolves around the story of a guy who wants to settle in the US. Nithiin sports a new look with a bushy beard and crew cut in the film. “We did a lot of research before finalising my look. My director Hanu and I went to the US and observed how the youth look. It feel’s good to have received a warm response from the audience. I will be seen in another look too but that’s going to be a surprise for now.”

Nithiin also shares screen space with actor Arjun in the film. “This is our second film together after Sri Anjaneyam. He hasn’t changed a bit and in fact became fitter now. I’m surprised to see him perform the stunts without a body double in extreme weather conditions. Personally, I like the climax flight shot on an airplane. Also, the love track between Megha Akash and me. To say the least, Lie is a stylish action entertainer catered to all sections of the audience,” adds Nithiin.

Calling director Trivikram a scholar, Nithiin shares, “I see him as a gnani and seek his advice both professionally and personally. In fact, it was he who asked me to choose different scripts and I follow his words religiously.”
