Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam wrap up the shoot of Uri

Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam have wrapped the shooting schedule of their upcoming film, Uri. Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Uri is based on the 2016 Uri attacks in Jammu & Kashmir — regarded as the deadliest terror attack on Indian security forces in the last two decades. The film has been shot in Siberia and Mumbai. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal plays the role of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in the film.

Sharing a picture with the film’s cast and crew, Yami wrote on Instagram: “This team is special.”

Director Aditya Dhar also shared photographs of the team, and said, “And that’s a wrap on the shoot of Uri but hardly a wrap on the film. So many beautiful energies have contributed in the making of this film. Crossed every hurdle with our heads held high, and I owe it to my actors, the entire team on ground as well as Ronnie and the entire RSVP team that has backed me relentlessly. So cheers and thank you for being with me on this journey so far.”

Vicky was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju. His upcoming release is Manmarziyaan co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. Yami will be next seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu alongside Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
