Apoorva paired opposite Sharan in Victory sequel

The talkie portions of director Hari Santhosh’s project, whose title features a double victory symbol, are complete. Touted to be a sequel to Sharan’s previous film, Victory, this film will see Asmita Sood associating with Sharan once again. In addition, the makers have roped in Apoorva as well. Though they managed to keep this under wraps for a long time, the details are out now and we can tell you that the film has two heroines--Apoorva and Asmita Sood--both of whom will share screen space with Sharan.

Apoorva was introduced to the world of cinema by Ravichandran, who also gave her her screen name, which also happened to be the title of her first film. It was directed by Crazy Star, who also acted in the film. After her debut, the actor took a break for almost a year before she signed on her second project. “After my debut, I wanted to get clarity on the kind of films that I would want to be part of. That is what took time. During my break, I also chose to groom myself as an actor,” she says.

As she waits to get back on the sets of Victory's sequel to shoot for the songs, she says, “It’s a relief that I can finally talk about my first commercial project and second film.” The actor, who is very excited to be associating with Sharan for the film, tells us that director Tharun Sudhir, who is part of the creativite team, has provided a great deal of support. “Producer Tarun Shivappa’s presence made a lot of difference on the sets. Our director, Hari Santhosh, has a knack of getting work done,” says Apoorva, adding, “With this film being a complete romantic comedy and with Sharan on the sets, everyone was beaming ear-to-ear. We had plenty of fun, and it only doubled when the entire cast, including Ravi Shankar and Nassar, were around. Sharan, in particular, used to lift everyone’s spirits.”

The film’s music is by Arjun Janya and cinematography is by Guru Prashanth Rai.
