A movie without a message

Director Ravi Pargavan talks about his upcoming film Kadaisi Bench Karthi starring Bharath, which has received an 'A' certificate
A movie without a message

Close on the heels of the success of the adult comedy, Hara Hara Mahadevaki, comes another A-certified film, Kadaisi Bench Karthi, which is set for release this Friday. Seven-film-old director Ravi Pargavan promises a rich and youthful film with this Bharath-starrer.

The filmmaker says the focus is all on the humour, and there will be nothing to read between the lines in the dialogues, as he has no interest in providing a message to the audience.

Ravi believes he has done his best to lure in his core audience, which he expects will be the youth who hit the multiplexes for the early shows.

“My protagonist has a bad first experience with love. The script deals with the mindset of the youth, who are still undecided on sex before marriage. Opinions are divided on this issue, and I have left it to the imagination of the audience, without trying to sway them one way or the other.”

In the director’s view, Bharath has seldom done a movie of this kind and “he relished the experience. He is seasoned enough to make the most of a two-faced character.”

The film also stars Angana Roy and Mumbai debutante Ruchane Sharma in important roles.
